Owen has been busy. He is SOOO close to crawling. He gets on all threes and can't get that last leg out of the other legs way. He scoots where he wants to go. Owen has 3 teeth now and almost a 4th. On the 11th we went for his 9 mos check up. He's 21 pounds and 2 ounces now and 30 inches long. He's growing like a weed and learning new things everyday. I had this week off and so we were doing some home repairs and got to play with Owen for most of the day. Too bad he was rather cranky considering the teeth thing. Owen went to his first HS basketball game to watch Uncle Tommy's boys play. We ended up leaving before the start of their game. We got together with my friend Melissa and her son Nando, as well as Angel, Alex, and Heidi came over to play. Valentine's Day we spent at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mom got up with him at 5 - I think she probably went to bed around that 12 hours later. Grandma came over to help me clean out the junk in the house ( its suprising how much stuff accumulates that you really don't need or never see again so really do you need it?) and of course to play. I think we got rid of at least 5 garbage bags full to the Salvation Army. Yesterday we got together to celebrate Uncle Tom's birthday. Owen got to play with his cousins. Leah loves him to pieces - now there's someone smaller than her - but not by much. He's still not up completely for finger foods again since his bout with the stomach bug. He eats cheerios, kix, bananas, sweet potatoes, his favorite Gerber cheetos, and today tried hummus. Suprisingly he liked it! He likes playing peek a boo, and has just started giving kisses to me. We've been watching Baby Signing Time now probably 3 times a week for about a month or two. Yesterday Owen started signing more. It's exciting to see that he actually knows what to do now...Crazy!
